Christiane Grimm uses light as the main structural element in her work. Drawing from architecture, she creates illusions of three-dimensional depth in wall-mounted pieces. In Spectra, light becomes a dynamic force that shifts with the viewer’s perception.

About the event
Christiane Grimm constructs environments where light serves as the primary structural element. Her background as a trained architect informs a practice rooted in "illusory architecture". The creation of profound three-dimensional depth within the physical boundaries of a wall-mounted object. The title Spectra refers to the continuous, shifting bands of color produced by the refraction of light. Grimm captures this optical phenomenon, presenting light not as a static subject, but as a kinetic force that actively engages the viewer's physical presence.
