FIGURES IN MOTION AND PLACES REMEMBERED

Galerie Sara Lily Perez presents Figures in Motion and Places Remembered, a solo exhibition by Filipp Jenikäe.

The exhibition brings together a body of paintings produced in 2025 that examine contemporary urban life through architecture, spectatorship and collective space. Street façades, high-rise corridors, public leisure environments and stadium crowds unfold across layered compositions in which signage, structure and movement occupy the same visual field.

Rather than functioning as documentary representations, these works operate as constructed recollections. Cities appear not as fixed landmarks but as accumulations of image, rhythm and lived experience. Spectacle and everyday life are placed on equal footing, suggesting how contemporary memory is shaped through media, travel and repetition.

This exhibition marks the artist’s first solo presentation with the gallery.
