FIGURES IN MOTION AND PLACES REMEMBERED

Galerie Sara Lily Perez is pleased to present Figures in Motion and Places Remembered, a solo exhibition by Filipp Jenikäe, on view from 7 March to 18 April 2026.

The exhibition brings together a body of paintings produced in 2025 that explore urban environments, sports iconography, domestic architecture, and collectible imagery. Jenikäe’s work examines how contemporary visual culture shapes memory, identity, and emotional orientation. Across saturated, rhythmically composed canvases, athletes captured in moments of performance coexist with global cityscapes, swimming pools, and symbolic interiors.

These images are not presented as documentary representations but as recollections filtered through movement, media consumption, and personal experience. By placing spectacle and everyday life on equal footing, Jenikäe approaches sports, travel, and architecture as parallel visual languages. His paintings operate as emotional mappings, where places and figures are carried forward through memory rather than fixed in time.
