ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sophie Lazari is a queer artist from Italy living in Berlin. She has been studying graphics and illustration at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) since 2017. 

Her works deal with questions and issues surrounding diversity and social and historical events in a critical, ironic, and visionary manner. She also works as a tattoo artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and project coordinator of art exhibitions. 

Creating art is a tool that allows Sophie Lazari to communicate, educate and inspire. There are limitless possibilities in self-expression -  creation means to be shameless, to be herself, to allow her sensuality and sexuality to be there, to be seen, to be exploding in the most colorful ways. To Sophie, sexuality is the purest form of creation. Her art is political, as it is queer and diverse and it stands for empowerment.
