ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kyte Tatt is an American-born artist based in Berlin, Germany.
He began his career in the U.S., where he spent nearly a decade living in a caravan and participating in various art communities. After relocating to Berlin in 2015, Kyte fully embraced painting, quickly developing a distinct visual language. As a self-taught artist, Kyte blends abstraction and impressionism, employing bold gestural techniques with tools like palette knives and squeegees. His work reflects an intuitive approach, inspired by nature and the human experience, often exploring themes of decay, transformation, and resilience.
Kyte's creations often reference the pressures of the modern world, using vibrant colors and energetic strokes to evoke the beauty and power of natural elements. His notable collections, such as the "Gardens of Liberty," use reclaimed materials like sheet music and newsprint, emphasizing his commitment to sustainability and storytelling through mixed media.

Kyte Tatt's artwork reflects his deep connection with nature and his explorations of decay, beauty, and transformation. His technique is rooted in spontaneity and gestural abstraction, blending abstract and impressionist styles. Working primarily with mixed media, Kyte uses a variety of materials including reclaimed objects like sheet music, newsprint, and book pages, which he repurposes into his vibrant, layered canvases.
